Never heard of charityware? Neither had we!

We had to invent it. (But we were not first.) The idea is simple and quite like shareware. You copy or download a program and try it out at Your site. If You decide not to keep and use it You only have to delete it from Your system and forget about it. But even if You do start using it You don't pay anything to us or our company. Instead You donate the equivalent of usually 10 USD or more per installed cpu to a charity or environmental organisation of Your choice. Charityware comes as or with source code, You're encouraged to improve it. Send any improvement back to us so it can be shared by the user community.

Notes

For network installations: Use expected maximum number of simultaneous users instead of cpu-count.

Non US installations: Local currency of course.

Please avoid organisations with strong connections to specific political or religious movements. We want to help in need not mission.

If any charityware ever is embedded into commercial software a substantial part of the estimated extra revenue is due for charity.

You are free too redistribute charityware as long as it is kept as charityware.

Remember: The quoted price does not indicate a maximum limit.
